When does GTA 6 come out?

GTA 6 releases on Thursday, November 19, 2026. Rockstar first announced fall 2025, moved the date to May 26, 2026, then to November 19, 2026. Since that second delay the date has not moved. Pre-orders opened on June 25, 2026 with November 19 printed on every storefront, and Take-Two’s press release repeats it.

Rockstar revealed the game with Trailer 1 on December 4, 2023. Three years between the reveal and the release is long even by Rockstar standards. GTA V took two years, Red Dead Redemption 2 took two as well.

The Thursday launch comes with a one-week pre-load window. Take-Two’s June 24, 2026 press release says digital pre-orders can start pre-loading on November 12, 2026. Boxed copies, which hold a download code rather than a disc, go on sale the same day for the same reason.

What platforms is GTA 6 on?

GTA 6 launches on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S only. There is no PlayStation 4 or Xbox One version, and Rockstar has not announced a PC version. The official site lists PS5 and Xbox Series X|S as the two launch platforms, with a “Plays best on PlayStation 5” badge next to the PS5 logo.

What has Rockstar shown so far?

Rockstar has released two trailers, one cover art reveal and one 27-minute gameplay video. Trailer 1 arrived on December 4, 2023, Trailer 2 on May 6, 2025, the cover art on June 18, 2026, and An Extended Look on August 27, 2026.

How much does GTA 6 cost?

The Standard Edition costs $79.99 and the Ultimate Edition $99.99 in the United States. Both are available to pre-order on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. A separate collector’s box, the Vice City Collection, costs $399.99 and does not include the game.

Will there be a GTA 6 Trailer 3?

Rockstar has not announced a third trailer. The 27-minute Extended Look from August 27, 2026 is the most recent official video, and Rockstar has said nothing about another one before November 19. Treat every “Trailer 3 date” you see as a guess until it appears on the Rockstar Newswire, which is where every previous video was announced.

What time does GTA 6 unlock?

Rockstar has not announced an unlock time. GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 unlocked at midnight local time on consoles, but nothing is confirmed for GTA 6. Digital pre-loading starts November 12, 2026, according to Take-Two.

Can you play GTA 6 on PS4 or Xbox One?

No. GTA 6 is current-gen only: PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar has announced no version for the previous console generation.

Has GTA 6 been delayed again?

Not as of September 26, 2026. The date moved from fall 2025 to May 26, 2026, then to November 19, 2026. Rockstar opened pre-orders on that date in June 2026 and has not moved it since.

Is GTA 6 coming to PC?
